Clean Water Project
2012 - 2013
Whilst visiting a leper colony in Amurri, Nigeria, Father Nicholas found there was a need for fresh water assistance to Amurri town and surrounds. The ministry came to claim responsibility for a bore to be sunk to provide clean drinking water.
The project required fund raising by the foundation in the order of AU$60,000.
Clean Water Project installed a bore hole, pump, and generator to bring fresh water to the village.
Once completed this bore struck clear crystal water, which now supports some 5 villages in the area. The fresh water bore was opened and blessed by Emeritus Archbishop Barry James Hickey on the last day of December 2012.

Purchasing land for an orphanage in Burma2013 Assisting an orphanage in Burma (Myanmar)
The next place to attract our attention was an orphanage in Burma (Myanmar). ADMF fundraising activities received AU$10,000 in donations which was spent on the purchase of two blocks of land Burma. One block to grow fruit and vegetables, and the other to raise ducks and chickens. Our vision for the development of the land was to support farming that would supply the orphanage with food, and would help them with ongoing income from the sale of produce. |
